This Summer, a New 2019 Subaru SUV Ascends to the Peak of Adventure

The new Subaru Ascent is set to be three rows and seven passengers of hard-charging Subaru foray back into the large-SUV segment, on the heels of the late, great Tribeca. That it's being built right here in the US of A for the American long-hauler and off-grid traveler alike should make for a promising 2018-and-beyond of travel plans.

2019 Ascent will be durably constructed on the new Subaru Global Platform, showcasing an energetic turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine, the rugged capability of standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and towering ground clearance for the unbeaten path, to be sure. Plus, an enormous up-to-153.5-cubic-foot cabin will house cloth, spill-resistant cloth, and leather seating options, optionally heated up front and flanked by available dual second-row captain's chairs. There'll be the Subaru hallmark of several STARLINK Multimedia infotainment system likewise available, select variants with built-in voice-activated TomTom navigation, and each will offer standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as the ability to dovetail with available Wi-Fi. But there's plenty more that sets the new Ascent apart from other new SUVs already hitting the trail in 2018.

  • For one, standard X-MODE® with Hill Descent Control promises to make the new Subaru Ascent an able-bodied handler over slick surfaces.
  • Up to 5,000 pounds of maximum tow support when Ascent is properly equipped, plus standard raised roof rails, an optional Class III trailer hitch, and a full slate of Thule racking options will offer prospects for gearing up for wherever the open road may take you.
  • Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology will appear standard for intelligent driving help, with Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert likewise available alongside Reverse Automatic Braking and LED Steering Responsive Headlights, making the new Subaru SUV a pro when it comes to keeping you informed of your surroundings.
  • So will a trio of standard and available cameras. One in an optional Smart Rear-View Mirror comes together with a standard Rear-Vision Camera and an optional 180-degree front camera for a near-panoptical view.
  • Even STARLINK Safety and Security services get a new upgrade for 2018. They will now incorporate Remote Engine Start and Climate Control capabilities, manageable right a smartphone, as well as the navigation and planning services of a Plus Concierge feature.
  • Of course, these aren't to mention the availability of a mammoth 54-inch power tilting and sliding panoramic moonroof, great for bringing Mother Nature along for the ride.
